Last week, Richard Ho from the University of Edinburgh joined our group as a postdoc. Richard will develop models that will help to understand regulatory mechanisms acting during neural pattern specification in the developing spinal cord.
BOB seminar in Warsaw
Tomorrow I will give a talk in the Computational biology and bioinformatics (BOB) seminar series at MIM UW. The talk about information processing in developmental systems will be at room 5820 @Banacha 2, 10:15, Wed 16/10/2019.
PTBI 2019
The conference of Polish Bioinformatics Society finished on Saturday. It was great opportunity to discuss gene regulation and how is information processed in developmental systems. The event was held in Wielopolski Palace in the magnificent assembly hall of the Krakow’s City Council.

Smoluchowski 2019
The Smoluchowski conference co-organised by Maciej Majka starts tomorrow! This year theme is information processing in living and non-living systems. Our work will be presented on Friday, 9:30 am.
Brain on waves
Together with Jeremi Ochab we organized workshop on how brain process information. Over 2-days gifted high school students from Polish Children’s Fund visited Jeremi’s lab in which we planned and carried out experiments using EEG. We measured response times and action potentials resulting from different visual stimuli, and verified a few research hypotheses. It was fun & science!
